Kicks required a cohesive visual identity that can tie seamlessly into the changing can art with every beer release. For, in this niche part of the craft beer industry, there is no core range, just a continuous flow of new releases, each with their own unique personality. Because of this, the branding needed to be simple, punchy and memorable, while the illustration styles could be wildly different (allowing me, as the designer, to let loose and have a lot of fun!).

The interior design of the Kicks Brewing tasting room is an extension of the Kicks branding and what the company represents. The venue is situated in a great sunny location so I wanted to create a welcoming, bright and airy space that can be enjoyed equally during the daytime and as the sun sets. It’s relaxed and casual, but also a little polished. We’ve retained the warehouse feel, but added a few touches to elevate the space – tiles, terrazzo, Art Deco style lighting, blonde timber and plywood, as well as lots of plants.
